5 tips for wedding photography

So you fancy yourself some photography eh? Want to bring out that camera and work your magic? While you are not a professional photographer it does not mean that friends and family will not appreciate your personal touch to their memories of their most important days. That said you can show them that you can shoot as good as their hired photographer if not better. You can definitely practice. Although if you live in Glasgow you really don’t need to read this. Babies are born weddingphotographers in Glasgow.

So the best thing you can do during tryouts at the main event is not botch it up. With some good measures you can shoot like a professional. Here are a few:

1. Prepare in advance: Follow this advice for everything if you can. Prepare a backup plan, keep your memory cards blank, keep spare batteries and charge the main ones, etc.

2. Scout the area: Know the environment in which you will shoot. Attend the rehearsals if you can and find out positions to shoot from, the order of the ceremony, the lighting, etc.

3. Create a ‘shot’ list: Think of what shots you want to take on the day and compile a list and check it off. Also plan out family shots and who you want to photograph.

4. Keep two cameras: Try using two cameras. Keep one for wide angle shots and another for focused shots. Focussed shots include a pair of people at most and it is a good idea to shoot the smaller details like rings, back of dresses, menus which is a good idea for end albums.

5. Be RAW: Try RAW format for the wide angle shots. They have greater processing times but have the greatest amount of detail.

Last up if they got a wedding photographer from Glasgow accept defeat.
